Flexible Music

Flexible Music
Flexible Music is an exciting quartet of guitar, saxophone, piano, and percussion. The group is enthusiastically expanding the repertoire for this dynamic combination through commissions and premiere performances. Notable concerts include Bowdoin College in Maine, Manhattan School of Music, Friends and Enemies of New Music (NY), William Patterson University, New York's Wet Ink series, and Chamber Music Now in Philadelphia. Composers Adam B. Silverman, Orianna Webb, Ryan Streber, John Link, Reiko Fueting, Vineet Shende, Harold Oliver, Allen Brings, Chris Cerrone, Dan Vezza, Alek Stevens, and Nico Muhly have all recently contributed fantastic pieces to the group's repertoire. Visit the calendar page for info about Flexible Music's concerts.

Haruka Fujii - percussion, Tim Ruedeman - saxophones, Eric Huebner - piano, Dan Lippel - guitar

"The composers were very well served by Flexible Music, whose individual mastery of their instruments was matched by the strength of their communication. With intelligence and energy in equal measure, they worked wonders as a group, whether creating glowing resonant combinations, interlocking rhythmic lines, or just thrashing away together."
